When having plumbing installation done in your home or commercial property, you need to plan that it will take time. Depending on the size of the structure, number of bathrooms, and other factors, it could take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to complete plumbing installation. However, here at BL Plumbing Service, we make sure you are fully aware of the process and are kept updated on what is involved in your plumbing installation.
Plumbing installation involves several steps. First is the layout and design, so that we know where each pipe will go, what fixtures are needed, and all the materials that will be used. Next, permits will be obtained in order to proceed with the plumbing installation. Then, we begin the work of installing the underground pipes, sometimes referred to as the underground rough-in. This plumbing installation step includes installing waste removal lines and water supply lines.
Once all the prep work is done, we move to a step referred to as the rough-in stage, or above-ground rough-in. This is when the plumbing installation moves to the inside of the house. Pipes and lines will be put into walls and floors during this step. This is also when testing will be done to make sure there are no leaks, that the water pressure is correct, and everything is connected as it should be. Once everything passes the test, your plumbing installation will move to the next phase in which fixtures such as toilets, sinks, and showers will be installed. Then, caulking, and testing for leaks and pressure will complete this step.
With the plumbing installation complete, final tests and inspections will take place before we consider the job completely done. Our highly trained, professional team is here to work with you to make sure that you have the best plumbing installation experience possible.
